Our members and club are very active in our community. On an annual basis, members typically donate over 1000 hours in community service with nearly half of those hours directly benefiting children. Following are some of the worthy causes our club supports thorugh the generosity of our business community:

• TCPUD Commons Beach restoration and playground
• A Drug Dog for the Placer County Sheriff's Department to eliminate drugs from our schools
• The Kiwanis House to assist families of critically ill children.
• Boys and Girls Club
• Scholarships
• Disabled Sports USA
• Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation
• Arts for the Schools
  

Our primary fund raising event for the year is our annual Kiwanis Auction. This Silent and Live Auction event typically raises $40,000 - $60,000 for the communities of North Lake Tahoe including Tahoe City, Truckee and Kings Beach. The auction is held the first Saturday in May at the Resort at Squaw Creek.
